Starting as a go go dancer in 2015, Saira has built a practice of movement focused on creatures and sensuality. Saira continues to study club dance styles, disabled dance and ritual movement on stages big and small. Their performances and practice have been included in festivals, dance labs galleries and residency programs such as the Axis Dance Company Choreo-Lab, Seattle’s King Street Station ARTS, What The Funk?! Burlesque Festival and BASE Artist Residency. The characters Saira explores in burlesque and performance art often get envisioned first in their visual art.
